Foundations for Life's demand for community presentation is constantly growing, and because of that we are blessed with the need to grow our team! We are looking to hire a Casual Out-of-Town Educator, so that we can get back out to the farther communities surrounding Grande Prairie.

Reports To: Board of Directors
Location: Grande Prairie & Surrounding Peace Country

Foundations for Life is a charitable organization that has been offering free health presentations in the Peace Region since 1985. Our mission is to encourage, equip, and empower students, parents, and teachers with an awe-inspiring awareness of human development, dignity, and healthy relationship foundations. We speak to thousands of Alberta students each year in Catholic, Christian, and Public schools. We also offer support to parents and community groups who would like to learn more about encouraging, equipping and empowering the next generation with an awareness of body value and safety.

Summary
The challenge of this position is to contribute your experience, skill, and leadership abilities to the organization of Foundations for Life. This role will require public speaking by presenting educational presentations for classrooms, parents and community groups. This role is primarily responsible for our out-of-town presentations and will require travel and out-of-town stay.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Commitment to excellence in customer service
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid Canadian Provincial drivers license (Non GDL)

Responsibilities:
• Present educational programs in human development and healthy relationships (Fetology, Sexual Health, Life Issues Abstinence, Puberty etc.) to correspond with the Alberta curriculum
• Updating curriculum when required
• Promote the association to the public and other community organizations through events and developing relationships.
• Is a resource person for the association
• Along with the Lead Educator, to be a spokesperson on behalf of the association
• Write articles for the newsletters and social media
• Social media collaboration with the Lead Educator
• Communicate with Lead Educator once per week
• Track receipts pertaining to presentation and out-of-town expenses
• Monthly Education report to the Associations board.
• Support new fund-raising opportunities in collaboration with FFL Board and Lead Educator
• Collaborate with Lead Educator to brainstorm ideas
As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide or complete the following prior to their start date:
• A copy of a current Canadian driver’s license, (minimum Class 5)
• A current driver’s abstract satisfactory to the Employer
